Mount Hood Hike takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. When a tour is booked through a link or widget on this site, GetYourGuide may pay this site a small commission. The traveller pays the same as when booking on GetYourGuide directly.
Which links are affiliate links
Every booking button labelled “Book this”, every availability widget and every tour card leads to GetYourGuide with this site’s partner reference attached. Links to other pages on this site, and links to fs.usda.gov, recreation.gov, usgs.gov, timberlinelodge.com, traveloregon.com, travelportland.com, tripcheck.com or oregon.gov, are not affiliate links and earn nothing.
What it changes
It pays for the site. It does not decide what is written or which facts appear. None of the six products is a guided hike or a summit climb, and the pages say so: guided hiking tours and can you hike Mount Hood earn nothing and explain why. The close-up pages state what each listing says about limits: the gorge waterfalls tour is listed as not suitable for wheelchair users, the Fruit Loop tour as not suitable for people with mobility impairments, the flightseeing tour sets weight limits, and the wine tour’s listing states that tasting fees are not included. Many pages describe things that earn nothing, such as the trails, the climbing permit bought on recreation.gov and the passes sold by the Forest Service.
What this site does not print
No prices and no figures from traveller feedback appear on this site. Prices change by date and option, so the live widget on each page carries the current one. Traveller first names, countries and themes on the close-up pages are taken from GetYourGuide as printed there. Tour operators, guide services and guides are not named.
